The school started as Mount Waverley High School opening on 4 February 1964 on the current Senior Campus on Lechte Road.

Mount Waverley High School was established in February 1964, a period when suburban High Schools were urgently required to cope with Victoria’s rapid population growth.聽 Temporarily accommodated in three portable classrooms in the grounds of Glen Waverley High School,聽 our first enrolment comprised seventy three Form 1 pupils, six teaching staff and one staff member in the office.

Situated on a hillside in Stephensons Road, between Lechte and Gordon Roads, on 15 acres of Housing Commission land. It is interesting to note that Mount Waverley High School was the first Victorian High School to make use of steel framed, laminex topped tables and upholstered chairs in 1966. In 1967, enrolments increased to 694 and two new wings were added to the building, including a Physical Education centre and Woodworks shops.

The school then changed its name to 麻豆视频看片 in the early 1990s and later occupied the site of the former Waverley North Primary School after that school was closed, thus forming the Junior Campus. In October 2008, works began to demolish and rebuild the Junior Campus as we know it now. The Junior Campus was officially opened by the Hon. Martin Dixon MP, Minister for Education, on Tuesday, 20 March 2012.

The school emblem the Unicorn represents Sir Walter Scott the author of the Waverley Novels. The novel provided the names of the first four houses.聽 The Unicorn is a symbol of the college that has endured for more than 50 years and is proudly worn by all of our students.
